Awesome Recording Advice Edition! | Spectre VC

It’s Friday! That means it’s time for SMG Viewer’s Comments; my weekly show where I try to answer your comments and questions to the best of my ability!

Comment:“Hey Glenn, I’ve asked this a few time but I figured id give it another shot. How do you feel about musicians who say they “need” drugs to be able to perform? If that’s the case, do you think they should be in this line of work? I am not trying to be insensitive to those with addiction, I’m just. Asking because I do know a few people in my local scene where that is the case. Cheers from Cornwall, Ontario:)”

Honestly, I think the best sessions I have had in my studio for the last 20 years have always been when the drummer is high as fuck and the singer is drunk out of his mind. Substance abuse is definitely where it’s at! The higher and drunker the better! Just keep a mop around so you can clean up what’s left over on the floor. But ya man, the performances are stellar and I guarantee you that those records are going totter up the charts. (*read with extreme sarcasm*)
