Today I’d like to show you something that I’ve been working on for quite a while now and that is my new impulse pack from Lancaster Audio.
For those of you who don’t know. Lancaster Audio is a partnership between myself, Warren Huart of Produce Like A Pro, and the guys at Rosen Digital. We’ve joined forces to bring you some killer IR and Kemper packs with some other cool audio applications coming in the future as well.
Unlike the producer pack that I did with Rosen a while back, which were my favorite choices of their available impulses, this new pack is a collection of impulses from my cabinets, right here at Spectre Sound Studios. They use my mics, preamps and mic techniques. You get my Coffee Custom Cab, the Engl Pro Cab, the Revv Cab, and my Mesa 4×12 which was used on channel’s theme song “The Eagle Has Landed.”
I’ve created these impulses using the same gear that I used to make the sounds for the show. That means my SM57, Lewitt 340, Sennheiser MD421 and my Roswell Delphos. I’ve also created impulses for pairs of these mics, including straight pairs with blended speaker types and of course, the Fredman technique.
